Job summary

Aperia Technologies is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) to act as the primary technical liaison between manufacturing facilities and OEM customers. You will investigate concerns, drive corrective actions, and lead continuous improvement with quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and met.

You will manage OEM quality tasks, lead 8D investigations, coordinate APQP/PPAP, and monitor quality metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quality/engineering field.
• 5+ years of automotive quality engineering experience or in a Tier-1 environment.
• Strong knowledge of automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
• Detailed understanding of IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 QM systems.
• Experience navigating OEM customer portals.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first contact for OEM quality tasks, manage portals, and lead regular data reviews.
• Lead 8D investigations and corrective actions within the factory.
• Coordinate APQP and PPAP submissions to customers.
• Create and maintain PFMEA and Control Plans for products.
• Monitor and report customer quality metrics including PPM and disruptions.
• Support continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality products.
• Author and execute CARs/SCARs as required.
• Statistically analyze data using Excel and Minitab and share with engineering teams.
• Create working documents and train the quality & manufacturing team.
• Lead implementation and maintenance of IATF 16949 in the QMS.
• Participate in special projects supporting quality, manufacturing, and engineering.
