Job summary

LS ELECTRIC America, Inc. seeks a Technical Engineer (OEM Solutions) to provide engineering support for LV/MV protection equipment, evaluate components, prepare cost estimates, and optimize proposals.

You will assist in OEM kit development and ensure compliance with ANSI, IEEE, IEC, NEMA, UL891, UL67, and NEC standards. The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years in OEM kits/devices, and travel up to 20% for site visits and technical support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
10+ years of OEM Kit / Device experience (VCB, ACB, MCCB).
Strong knowledge of switchgear components and standards (ANSI, IEEE, IEC, NEMA, UL891, UL67, NEC).
Occasional travel up to 20% for technical support and visits.
Experience with OEM competitors is a plus (Eaton, ABB, Schneider).

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support for LV/MV power distribution and protection equipment.
Evaluate switchgear components and OEM solutions for project requirements.
Prepare cost estimates for LV/MV components and OEM kits.
Analyze RFQs and bid documents to create optimized proposals.
Support OEM kit development and field testing, ensuring standards compliance.
