Job summary

LS ELECTRIC America, Inc. is seeking a Technical Engineer (OEM Solutions) to provide engineering support for LV/MV protection equipment and OEM kits.

Responsibilities include evaluating switchgear components, transformers, and OEM solutions, and preparing optimized technical and commercial proposals. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years in OEM Kit/Device experience, with travel up to 20% for technical support and customer meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
10+ years of OEM Kit/Device experience (VCB/ACB/MCCB, etc.).
Strong understanding of switchgear components, protection devices, transformers, and related standards.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support for LV/MV power distribution and protection equipment.
Conduct technical evaluations of switchgear components, transformers, and OEM solutions.
Assist in preparing cost estimates for LV/MV components.
Analyze RFQs, bid documents, and specs to prepare technical/commercial proposals.
Support development and integration of OEM kits for UL-listed gear.
Ensure designs comply with ANSI, IEEE, IEC, NEMA, UL891, UL67, NEC standards.
Assist in type testing, FAT, and field testing for breakers, relays, and OEM kits.
Collaborate with suppliers to verify specs and material selection.
Provide technical assistance to customers and internal teams.
Develop technical manuals and training materials.
