Job summary

Actalent in Sussex, WI is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to diagnose and resolve issues on OEM equipment, including dynos, control systems, VFDs, PLCs and test cells. You will guide customers through troubleshooting steps, interpret schematics and P&IDs, and conduct remote sessions to drive timely resolutions.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service, hands-on electrical troubleshooting, and the ability to coordinate field support while owning cases from first contact to closure.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and resolving issues on OEM equipment.
• Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Strong communication to maintain customer relationships.
• Familiarity with remote diagnostic tools such as AnyDesk.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to OEM equipment such as dynos, control systems, VFDs, PLCs, and test cells.
• Troubleshoot pump systems, including hydraulic and cooling circuits, flow rates, and pressure faults.
• Identify and resolve sensor-related faults, including calibration drift and wiring faults for sensors.
• Apply basic electrical troubleshooting skills including voltage/current measurement and motor circuit checks.
• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and manuals to guide customers step-by-step.
• Conduct remote diagnostic sessions via AnyDesk or similar tools.
• Support parts identification with accuracy for correct application.
• Engage Engineering and SME teams for Level 3 issues while maintaining case ownership.
• Act as primary technical resource during active customer engagements and prioritize field calls.
• Own the case from first contact to confirmed resolution and close the ticket.
• Coordinate Field Tech dispatch or on-site engagement when needed and monitor field-originated cases.
