Job summary

Teledyne FLIR OEM is seeking a Director of Contracts to lead the contracts function supporting aerospace, defense, and high‑tech commercial applications. You will shape strategy, drive compliance, and align with executive leadership to enable growth while minimizing risk.

You will build cross‑functional relationships and develop a high‑performing contracts team, overseeing prime contracts, subcontracts, and confidential agreements while ensuring regulatory compliance and robust governance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years contracts experience, including government contracting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; Master’s a plus.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of FAR and DFARS compliance.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Ability to lead cross-functional contracts teams.
• Excellent communication and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle of U.S. government and commercial contracts, from proposal through closeout.
• Serve as senior contractual interface with Government contracting officers, prime contractors, and customers on complex matters.
• Direct negotiations and execution of complex agreements, including long-term and confidentiality agreements.
• Advise executive leadership on contract strategy, obligations, and risk mitigation.
• Review solicitations to identify requirements, risks, and deliverables.
• Partner with finance, legal, and program teams on pricing and contract strategy.
• Oversee administration of prime contracts, subcontracts, and commercial agreements.
• Ensure compliance with internal policy and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits and maintain contract documentation and reporting.
• Drive process improvements, standardization, and contract governance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop contracts staff.
