The role emphasizes inventory accuracy, vendor negotiations, and CDC-aligned procedures while maintaining records and supporting leadership on special projects. A high school diploma and relevant material management experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in hospital materials, purchasing, or inventory is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Cerner inventory systems is a plus.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Order and manage medical and non-medical supplies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and keep supplies stocked.
  • Work with vendors on pricing, contracts, and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate item records in Cerner.
  • Receive and organize deliveries.
  • Review invoices and ensure correct billing.
  • Track implants, consignment items, and recalls.
  • Coordinate equipment repairs as needed.
  • Support leadership and assist with special projects.

Position: Materials Management Coordinator

Hours: Monday–Friday | Day Shift

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll help keep our hospital running smoothly by making sure supplies are available, organized, and cost‑effective. You’ll work closely with departments and vendors to support quality patient care behind the scenes.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
  • Order and manage medical and non‑medical supplies
  • Monitor inventory levels and keep supplies stocked
  • Work with vendors on pricing, contracts, and deliveries
  • Maintain accurate item records in Cerner
  • Receive and organize deliveries
