Abilene Center for Orthopedic and Multispecialty Surgery in Abilene, TX is seeking a Materials Management Coordinator to optimize our perioperative materials flow and keep operating rooms stocked for patient care.

You will analyze inventory data, maintain inventory levels, coordinate with clinical teams and the Business Office, and implement cost-saving, efficiency-enhancing procedures while ensuring confidentiality and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, preferred.
  • Five (5) years of experience in materials and supply chain field, preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Champion the mission, vision, and values while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Maintain optimal levels of perioperative consignment inventory and monitor outdated/overstocked materials to enhance service delivery.
  • Coordinate with clinical departments and the Business Office to ensure a steady supply of materials, while observing the surgical schedule for necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Analyze inventory data to boost efficiency and reduce waste, while developing robust supply chain procedures.
  • Provide timely responses to all customer needs—from physicians to vendor representatives—ensuring urgent requests are met without a hitch.
  • Manage vendor access, organize in-service programs, and implement cost-containment strategies to keep our budget in check while driving value.
  • Oversee order records, verify shipping quantities, and approve vendor invoices—all while keeping a meticulous track of equipment loans and returns.
  • Collaborate in fiscal management and assist in contract compliance to negotiate the best pricing for materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
