Job summary

Partnership for Defense Health is seeking an OCI DevOps Engineer to work remotely on the DHMSM IDIQ contract for MHS GENESIS. You will design, deploy, and manage OCI-based infrastructure, using IaC to provision networks, VMs, and storage while enforcing DoD security and STIGs.

Strong CI/CD, scripting, and cross-functional collaboration are essential. The role requires active US security clearance and experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container tech (Docker/Kubernetes).

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with ACTIVE ADP1/IT1 Public Trust clearance and Tier 5 background investigation.
• Experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure using IaC.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD methodologies.
• Proficiency in Terraform and Ansible for IaC and config mgmt.
• Experience operating systems in cloud environments (Linux/Windows).
• Familiarity with hub-and-spoke virtual networks and cloud security.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and cost optimization.
• Proficient in Python, Ruby, or Bash scripting.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub, OCI DevOps.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes; STIGs and DoD compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, OCI Resource Manager).
• Develop and maintain IaC scripts to automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
• Provision and secure hub-and-spoke networks in OCI environments.
• Deploy and manage VMs, apps, and databases in OCI (Compute, Block Storage).
• Secure traffic with OCI Security Lists and Network Security Groups.
• Control access via OCI compartments and IAM policies.
• Collaborate with engineering to integrate cloud infra with pipelines.
• Monitor, optimize performance, security, and cost across deployments.
• Monitor and manage operating systems within OCI.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot IaC scripts and cloud infrastructure issues.
• Stay current with cloud tech and DoD security practices.
• Ensure compliance with DoD cloud security requirements including STIGs.
