Job summary

Leidos Partnership for Defense Health is seeking an OCI DevOps Engineer to remotely deploy and manage cloud infrastructure in support of the MHS GENESIS program. You will work with application teams to automate provisioning, secure hub-and-spoke networks, and ensure seamless CI/CD integration on OCI.

The role requires US citizenship with ACTIVE ADP1/IT1 Public Trust clearance, strong Terraform/Ansible experience, and proficiency in Linux and Windows administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 8–12 years of experience, or a Master's with 6–10 years of experience.
• US Citizen with ACTIVE ADP1/IT1 Public Trust clearance and Tier 5 background investigation.
• Proven experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure using IaC tools.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code and configuration management.
• Experience deploying and managing OS in cloud environments (Linux/Windows).
• Strong administration skills in Linux and Windows.
• Familiarity with hub-and-spoke network concepts and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools; good problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI; scripting in Python, Ruby, or Bash.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to apply DoD STIGs to harden systems and maintain compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform, Ansible, OCI Resource Manager).
• Develop and maintain IaC scripts to automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
• Provision and secure hub-and-spoke VCNs and manage OCI Compute/Block Storage.
• Deploy and manage VMs, apps, and databases in OCI with Compute and Block Storage.
• Secure traffic with OCI Security Lists and Network Security Groups.
• Enforce access control via compartments and IAM policies.
• Collaborate with application teams to integrate infra with pipelines.
• Monitor performance, security, and cost, and optimize accordingly.
• Monitor and manage operating systems within OCI.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot IaC scripts and cloud infrastructure issues.
• Stay current with cloud tech and best practices; ensure DoD security compliance.
