Harrison Group is seeking a Front Desk Clerk for the Hampton Inn Virginia Beach Oceanfront South. The role handles guest check-ins/outs, reservations, inquiries, and nightly audits, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations on day and night shifts.

You will balance records, coordinate with housekeeping, upsell services, and maintain accurate financial reporting while delivering friendly, professional service to guests in a fast-paced oceanfront hotel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality studies preferred.
• Previous experience at a hotel front desk or night audit preferred.
• Experience with hotel reservation systems (Cloudbeds, RoomKeyPMS) preferred.
• Familiarity with online travel platforms (Booking.com, TripAdvisor) preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and complete check-in/check-out per hotel standards.
• Register guests with required information and verify ID and payment.
• Manage online, phone, and in-person reservations in the PMS.
• Inform guests about room options, rates, and services.
• Verify payment methods and process transactions.
• Maintain accurate reservation and room records.
• Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints.
• Coordinate with housekeeping to prepare rooms.
• Confirm group reservations and assist with arrivals or VIPs.
• Promote hotel services and amenities.
• Perform night audit tasks and reconcile daily transactions.
• Prepare end-of-day financial procedures and reports.
• Distribute daily audit and operational reports.
• Monitor overnight activity and address issues.
• Assist late-night guests with check-ins/outs.
• Follow front office policies; perform additional duties.
