Job summary

Harrison Group's Hampton Inn Virginia Beach-Oceanfront South is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to keep guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces well-maintained. You will support preventative maintenance, perform repairs, and document activities to ensure safe, efficient operations on a property with 141 oceanfront rooms and easy access to the boardwalk.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or related field preferred.
• Two to five years of practical experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related engineering field preferred.
• Experience with hotel or hospitality maintenance operations strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and building systems operations.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests, staff, and management.
• Maintain mechanical rooms and equipment areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Perform daily inspections of public areas and facilities to identify and address maintenance concerns.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance for guest rooms, public areas, and administrative offices.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs for hotel equipment and facilities.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Ensure maintenance projects are completed efficiently and in accordance with company standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with front office and housekeeping teams to address maintenance issues and complete reports.
