Job summary

SSA Group at Texas State Aquarium is seeking a Food Service Cook to join our Food & Beverage team in Corpus Christi. Work in a fun, fast-paced environment surrounded by sea life, assisting with daily prep, safety, quality controls and guest service.

Experience in food prep (1–2 years) and a food handling license preferred; must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays. Join a collaborative team reporting to the Kitchen Manager and Restaurant Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform SSA EXTRA Guest Service steps to ensure memorable experiences.
• Support restaurant prep for daily operation (BOH and line).
• Meet daily service standards for food safety, quality, and availability.
• Maintain proper food quantities and assist with dishwashing as needed.
• Follow safety logs, temperature checks, rotation, and waste control.
• Communicate issues to Restaurant Supervisor and Food Operations Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization; uphold SSAFETY rules.
• Stay knowledgeable about menu items, prices, and specials.
