La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is seeking a friendly and professional host/hostess to manage reservations, greet guests, and coordinate dining room flow. The role supports a busy, guest-focused dining operation and requires strong communication and teamwork in a luxury coastal setting.
Responsibilities include managing reservations, guiding guests to tables, handling calls and messages, and assisting with opening/closing dining room duties. Flexible scheduling across seven days is expected.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; restaurant experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Responsabilités
- Schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or special services for diners following set procedures.
- Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner, escort them to tables, and provide menus.
- Take reservations and messages, and coordinate dining room activities to ensure prompt service.
- Assist with opening/closing procedures of the Dining Room and supervise dining room staff as needed.
