Job summary

The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club Inc. seeks a Beach Services Operations Manager to lead day-to-day Beach Services, either personally or through staff.

The role oversees setup, safety, staffing, budgeting, and training to ensure outstanding guest experiences and adherence to club standards. Expect seven days a week operations with varied shifts, and close collaboration with departments to maintain high service levels across the beach and pool areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, Beach Registration Log, Beach Party Reservation Request forms.
• Ability to speak English effectively to guests, members or employees of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Determine work procedures and expedit e workflow.
• Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with subordinates, peers, Executive and Management team, non-guests, guests and members.
• Provide signature service to members and guests that meet or exceed expectations.
• Take ownership of member, hotel guests, and guest’s complaints and concerns; resolve promptly.
• Create and manage department annual budget, prelim reports and forecasting.
• Develop and execute training procedures for the Beach Services team.
• Ensure beach and pool areas are set up, maintained, cleaned, and monitored to standards.
