Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a qualified Ocean Import Coordinator to manage the importation of goods by ocean, coordinate carriers, and ensure compliant, timely delivery from start to finish. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or related field and about 5 years in freight forwarding, with supervisory experience preferred. Base pay ranges from $86,688 to $108,360 annually; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in ocean imports and supervisory roles desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage the importation of goods by ocean, including carrier selection, booking, and transportation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and service providers.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries to maintain satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade laws.
• Stay updated on changes in ocean freight regulations and import controls.
• Develop policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and enhance satisfaction.
• Monitor and report on KPI such as cargo delivery times and costs.
• Analyze performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
