Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Station Operations Manager - Ocean Forwarding to lead operations teams, minimize dwell times at origin and destination, and drive timely financial tasks. You will coach staff, manage cross-functional support during peak periods, and ensure process discipline while focusing on cost control and GP per shipment.

You will engage in cross-functional escalations for service issues and coordinate with HR, CX, Commercial, and Finance teams to optimize performance and customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Quantitative experience of 8+ years in related activity.
• Knowledgeable on Freight Forwarding operations & finances.
• Core competencies include Financial awareness, Integrity, Analytical skills, Attention to detail, Coaching, Communication & Self-motivation, Discipline.
• Efficient with MS software/tools and CargoWise One software.

Responsibilities

• People Leadership: conduct regular 1v1 sessions; coach, mentor, and train direct reports; align with HR; lead team huddles.
• Customer Satisfaction: participate in VoC; document CAPA with stakeholders guidance.
• Supply Chain Management: monitor dwell times; focus on transit time performance; be familiar with rate cards/quotations.
• Compliance: ensure bonds closed promptly; conduct export clearance audits.
• Finance: drive financial execution; enter cost accruals promptly; manage payables; achieve monthly Soft Close.
