Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Station Manager in Portland, OR to administer daily planning, scheduling, reporting, and financial operations of the terminal. You will direct dock, traffic, and maintenance activities, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.

The role requires LTL/terminal operations experience, strong cost control and people leadership, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, and speak English.

• Deep understanding of business law and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Defines and delegates responsibilities; develops strategies to improve operational costs.
• Oversees freight transfer activity and ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Negotiates bids with brokers and carriers to meet savings objectives.
• Drives KPI metrics and P&L performance for the station.
• Maintains cost-efficient methods of operation and customer satisfaction.
• Manages staffing, training, and performance reviews.
