Job summary

Mid-America Overseas, Inc. is seeking a logistics professional in Itasca, IL to manage LCL and FCL shipments, from initial booking through billing.

The role requires accurate handling of export documentation and preparing quotes for customers and overseas agents. You will communicate with overseas partners to ensure proper pre-alerts and documentation, continually seek cost-saving options, and track shipments to provide timely updates to customers.

Qualifications

• Understanding of export regulations and government agency rules.
• Experience with ocean export procedures, rules and regulations.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• IMDG certification required.
• Experience with CargoWise One is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle LCL and FCL shipments from booking to billing.
• Process export documentation accurately for shipments.
• Prepare quotes for customers and overseas agents.

Salary Range 70-75K depending on experience and knowledge

Requirements

• Better than average understanding of the Export Regulations and other government agency regulations that govern exports.
• Working knowledge of all ocean export procedures, rules and regulations.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail
• IMDG certified
• Working knowledge of Cargowise One is a plus.
