HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support therapy services in our west Miami-Dade campus. The role involves providing therapeutic modalities under the Occupational Therapist’s supervision, administering treatments and assisting with patient care plans.
Responsibilities include communicating effectively, contributing to program growth, and actively participating in infection control and safety programs.
Responsible for providing therapeutic modalities of treatment as supervised by the Occupational Therapist. Administers treatments and physical agents as directed by the Occupational Therapist, after the Occupational Therapist has evaluated the patient. Communicates and assists in resolving problems. Demonstrates effective resource utilization, which is critical to operational stability within the organization. Participates in performance improvement and program growth. Participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs.
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
