Position Overview

A growing Early Intervention agency is seeking a NYS-licensed/certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to carry out occupational therapy treatment plans for children from birth to age five under the supervision of a licensed OT throughout Staten Island. This contract role offers a flexible caseload and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in children's everyday environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed OT
• Deliver services in the child's home, daycare, or another natural environment
• Document each session and coordinate with the supervising OT and care team
• Maintain a dependable, flexible caseload in the assigned area

Qualifications

• Current New York State Occupational Therapy Assistant license/certification
• Specific experience working with children under age five; general pediatric experience alone is not sufficient
• Comfort providing services in home- and daycare-based settings
• One year or more of experience specifically with young children is preferred; experienced candidates new to this age group may be considered for mentorship.
