Job summary

Medstaff Group in New York is seeking a NYS-licensed Occupational Therapist to provide 1:1 evaluations and treatment for children from birth to age five in home and daycare settings across parts of Brooklyn, including Boro Park, Kensington, Flatbush, and Park Slope.

This contract role offers a flexible schedule and caseload, with the opportunity to work in preferred neighborhoods while coordinating with the child’s care team.

Qualifications

• Must hold NYS OT license.
• Experience with children under five required; general pediatric experience alone is not enough.
• Comfort delivering services in home- and daycare-based settings.
• Mentorship possible for newer candidates or those new to this age group.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 OT evaluations and treatment sessions.
• Deliver services in child’s home, daycare, or other natural environments.
• Develop and follow individualized treatment plans aligned with EI goals.
• Document each session and coordinate with the child’s care team.

Salary: $72–$74 per 30-minute visit

Position Overview

A growing Early Intervention agency is seeking a NYS-licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatment to children from birth to age five in Boro Park, Kensington, Flatbush, and Park Slope. This contract role offers a flexible caseload and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in children’s everyday environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 occupational therapy evaluations and treatment sessions
• Deliver services in the child’s home, daycare, or another natural environment
• Develop and follow individualized treatment plans aligned with Early Intervention goals
• Document each session and coordinate with the child’s care team

Qualifications

• Current New York State Occupational Therapist license
• Specific experience working with children under age five; general pediatric experience alone is not sufficient
• Comfort providing services in home- and daycare-based settings
• One year or more of experience specifically with young children is preferred; experienced candidates new to this age group may be considered for mentorship.

Area Coverage

• Boro Park: coverage is especially needed in the 40s–50s and along all avenues; Yiddish is a plus, not a requirement.
• Kensington: no current OT coverage.
• Flatbush: additional providers are needed; after-hours availability and home visits are preferred.
• Park Slope: occasional cases are available; no current OT coverage.
