TheraCare Staten Island is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide EI services for infants and toddlers in their natural environments. You will deliver direct OT for ages 0–3, develop IFSP-aligned plans, and work with families and a multidisciplinary team to support developmental gains.

Applicants must be a NYS-licensed OT, with EI experience and a strong focus on family-centered care. Travel across Staten Island is required, and a flexible collaboration with the team is encouraged.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

As an Occupational Therapist in the Early Intervention program, you will provide services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays. You will work directly in the child’s natural environment to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive behavior, while collaborating with families and interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services for children ages 0–3
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IFSP goals
• Work collaboratively with families and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications:

• Current NYS license and registration as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Degree from an accredited occupational therapy program
• Experience working in home-based Early Intervention

Rates are determined based on a combination of factors such as experience level, assignment location, service setting, and applicable program guidelines.
