Responsibilities

• Conducts resident screens as allowed by state practice act.
• Helps residents with rehabilitative activities and exercises outlined in a treatment plan developed with an occupational therapist.
• Monitors residents’ activities to ensure correct performance and provide encouragement.
• Records resident progress for use by the occupational therapist.
• May assist in scheduling appointments, answering phones, restocking supplies, and handling insurance forms.
• Provides training to residents, caregivers and families per the care plan.
• Completes required forms and documents per policy and regulations.
