Job summary

Hireology is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team in a skilled nursing facility setting. You will administer therapy to help residents improve independence and quality of life, under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Qualified candidates hold an active Texas OTA license and a COTA credential, with SNF/long-term care experience preferred. Net Health EDS experience is a plus. A $3000 sign-on bonus is available for select candidates.

Qualifications

• Active Texas OTA license and current COTA credential.
• In good standing with licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy practices and documentation.
• Experience with Net Health EDS preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer OT treatments to residents to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services under supervision per physician orders.
• Respond to service requests and relay information to the Occupational Therapist.
• Ensure treatments align with the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response and report changes as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with policy and regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate

• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices

• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
