Job summary

Hireology is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team in Texas. The OTA will provide person-centered care to residents, delivering treatments under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and ensuring compliance with the plan of care.

The role requires an active Texas OTA license and COTA credential, with preferred SNF/long-term care experience and familiarity with Net Health documentation.

Qualifications

• Active Texas OTP license and valid OTA credential (COTA) are required.
• Experience in SNF or long-term care is preferred.
• Knowledge of current occupational therapy treatment practices is required.
• Experience using Net Health EHR is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide OT services under supervision of an OT per physician orders.
• Relay information and referrals to the supervising OT as needed.
• Ensure treatments follow the plan of care and state/federal regulations.
• Provide guidance to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response and report changes promptly.
• Complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
• Attend mandatory rehab meetings as scheduled.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate

• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices

• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs
