Job summary

Care Nursing and Rehabilitation seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team and deliver person-centered care to residents. The OTA will plan, implement, and monitor OT treatments under supervision to promote independence and quality of life.

Requirements include an active Texas OTA license, COTA credential, good standing with boards, and preferred SNF/long-term care experience with knowledge of Net Health documentation.

Qualifications

• Active Texas OTA license and current COTA credential.
• In good standing with licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience with Net Health electronic documentation preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions under supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information to the Occupational Therapist
• Ensure all treatments align with the established plan of care
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers
• Monitor patient responses and report changes promptly
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely per policies and regulations
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist
• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Or Long-term Care Experience Preferred
• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices
• Experience With Net Health Electronic Documentation System Preferred
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
