Job summary

Enhance Rehabilitation in Des Plaines, IL is seeking qualified occupational therapy assistants to join our dynamic team. Working under the guidance of an occupational therapist, you will assist treating patients by following individualized plans of care developed by Occupational Therapists.

You will help implement therapy programs, monitor patient progress, document responses, communicate with the OT and staff, and operate standard OT equipment to support excellent functional outcomes.

Qualifications

• Assist patients under supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Implement treatment plans and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain effective communication with the OT and rehab team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure every patient receives quality treatment resulting in excellent functional outcomes.
• With assistance of Occupational Therapist, develop and implement occupational therapy treatment programs based on each patient's particular needs.
• Assist patients with all phases of Occupational Therapy treatment and techniques.
• Discuss treatment with patients and record patient conditions and responses to treatments in charts after each visit.
• Provide continuous communication with Occupational Therapist, Director or Rehab, and facility staff.
• Operate and apply knowledge of standard occupational therapy equipment.
