Ascension Health in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for an acute care setting on a PRN schedule. You will implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with the occupational therapist to adjust goals as needed.
Discharge planning and guidance on adaptive equipment will be part of the role, with supervision of therapy technicians when applicable. Requires Florida COTA and BLS within 30 days of hire.

How you’ll make an impact in this role
Implement an established treatment plan using appropriate modalities. Document findings of patient progress.
Monitor patient's response to treatment plan.
Communicate patient progress and possible goal revisions to occupational therapist.
Provide discharge planning assistance and information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.
May oversee the care provided by therapy 3-Technicians according to established regulations and practice standards.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentialed from the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
