Job summary

Total Care Therapy LLC is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our rapidly growing team in Cincinnati, OH. You will work alongside a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents improve mobility, regain independence, and enhance quality of life in assisted living and independent living settings.

We offer per-visit compensation based on experience, a full-time schedule with flexible weekends, and opportunities for professional growth within a therapist-owned

Qualifications

• Current State Occupational Therapy Assistant license is required.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Experience in geriatrics or related settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled OTA treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Assist residents with ADLs/IADLs to promote independence.
• Implement therapeutic activities to improve mobility, strength and balance.
• Monitor progress and report changes to the supervising OT.
• Complete documentation in the EMR per facility policy.
• Educate residents and caregivers on safety, energy conservation and fall prevention.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain a full clinical caseload with compassionate service.

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to join our growing team. In this role, you will work alongside a licensed

Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality, patient-centered care that helps residents improve mobility, increase strength, restore function, and maintain their independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist and according to the established plan of care.
• Implement therapeutic activities and interventions that promote independence with activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), upper extremity function, coordination, strength, balance, and cognitive skills.
• Assist residents in improving functional performance, safety, and independence through individualized treatment approaches.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Accurately complete documentation and treatment notes using an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive equipment, energy conservation techniques, home safety, fall prevention, and strategies to maximize independence.
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Maintain a full clinical caseload while providing compassionate, high-quality occupational therapy services.

Qualifications

• Current State Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) License
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
• Previous experience in geriatrics, home health, assisted living, or skilled nursing is preferred but not required
