Job summary

People Well Staffing is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a permanent opportunity in Lakeport, CA. The therapist will evaluate and treat patients to improve independence with activities of daily living and mobility, while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team in a SNF setting.

Responsibilities include developing OT plans of care, implementing adaptive strategies, monitoring progress, and educating patients and families. CA OT/COTA license and BLS/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OT or OTA program.
• Active CA OT or COTA license in good standing.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Experience in SNF setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients to improve ADLs, independence, safety.
• Develop or carry out individualized OT plans of care within licensure scope.
• Recommend adaptive strategies and therapeutic activities as appropriate.
• Monitor progress and communicate changes to the care team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and safety.
• Complete timely documentation and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
