Job summary

People Well Staffing seeks an Occupational Therapist for a permanent opportunity in Woodland, CA. You will evaluate and treat patients to improve independence with daily activities, functional mobility, safety, upper-extremity function, and overall quality of life while collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients to improve ADLs, developing individualized plans, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active CA OT or COTA license in good standing, as applicable.
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required by the employer.
• Strong clinical, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Experience in the applicable setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and/or treat patients to improve ADLs, functional independence, safety, strength, coordination, and quality of life.
• Develop or carry out individualized occupational therapy plans of care within licensure scope.
• Recommend or implement adaptive strategies and therapeutic activities as appropriate.
• Monitor progress and communicate changes to the care team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and safety.
• Complete timely documentation and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
