Job summary

People Well Staffing is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a collaborative skilled nursing facility in Lakeport, CA. Working under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will provide hands‑on treatment to support independence with daily activities and functional performance.

This on‑site role offers permanent employment, a competitive hourly rate of $50–$55, and opportunities for professional growth within a rehab team.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Active CA COTA license in good standing, or eligibility for licensure.
Current BLS/CPR certification as required by the employer.
Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
Strong communication, documentation, teamwork, and patient‑care skills.

Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Assist patients with therapeutic activities, ADL training, functional tasks, strengthening, and coordination.
Monitor patient response and communicate progress to the Occupational Therapist.
Educate patients and caregivers within the established plan of care.
Complete accurate and timely documentation.
Collaborate with the rehabilitation and interdisciplinary care team.
