Job summary

People Well Staffing in Modesto, CA is hiring a permanent Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients, aiming to improve independence in daily activities while collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team.

The role focuses on evaluating and treating patients to enhance ADLs, mobility, safety, and upper-extremity function, while developing individualized care plans and educating patients and families. Requires CA OT/COTA license and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Active CA OT or COTA license in good standing.
Current BLS/CPR certification as required by the employer.
Strong clinical, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
Experience in the applicable setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and/or treat patients to improve ADLs, functional independence, safety, strength, coordination, and quality of life.
Develop or carry out individualized occupational therapy plans of care within licensure scope.
Recommend or implement adaptive strategies and therapeutic activities as appropriate.
Monitor progress and communicate changes to the care team.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and safety.
Complete timely documentation and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
