Job summary

Ascend Rehab Services is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our school-based program in Santa Clara County, serving students across K–12 in multiple Bay Area locations.

The role involves pediatric OT assessments, individual and group therapy, and collaboration with teachers and other specialists to implement IEP goals and support student success. A CA license and passion for pediatric care are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in occupational therapy required.
• Active California OT license required.
• Experience or interest in school-based pediatric populations desired.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills a must.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pediatric OT assessments of students’ functional abilities (fine/gross motor, sensory, daily living).
• Provide individual and group therapy addressing sensory-motor needs and student development.
• Develop and implement IEP goals focusing on fine motor skills and self-regulation.
• Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, psychologists and staff to support student success.
• Recommend and implement assistive technology and accommodations.
• Maintain documentation, progress reports, and compliance with school/state guidelines.
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate with families and staff.

We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our school-based team in the Santa Clara County, working with students across K–12 settings.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct pediatric occupational therapy assessments to evaluate students’ functional abilities, including fine/gross motor skills, sensory integration, and daily living skills
• Provide individual and group therapy to address sensory-motor needs and support student development
• Develop and implement IEP goals focused on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and functional independence
• Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, psychologists, and other school staff to support student success
• Recommend and implement assistive technology and accommodations
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with school and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with families and staff members
