Job summary

You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, educate families, and coordinate with physicians and other clinicians to ensure a comprehensive plan of care.

Requirements include OT degree, NBCOT registration, CA OT license, CPR certification, two years of clinical experience, and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of OT curriculum accredited by AMA and AOTA.
• NBCOT registration required.
• Two years of clinical OT experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid California driver's license with reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient's functional status including muscle function, endurance, and daily living skills.
• Assesses home environment for hazards and identifies equipment needs.
• Performs work capacity evaluation for patients returning to work.
• Develops treatment plans and communicates care plans to physicians and staff.
• Teaches new skills or retrains patients in daily activities.
• May fabricate splints and instruct on adaptive equipment usage.
• Trains patient in prosthetic/orthotic device use.
• Educates family/caregivers and coordinates with other health professionals.
• Supervises OT Assistants and home health aides per policy.
