Job summary

You will document care, implement discharge plans, fabricate or recommend assistive devices, and collaborate with physicians and team members

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and assist patients, adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Interpret physician referrals and evaluate patient abilities related to daily living.
• Establish a care plan and implement individualized treatment.
• Provide and/or fabricate assistive devices to enhance independence.
• Monitor outcomes and adjust treatment plans; report to physicians and team.
• Plan discharge including home programs and family education.
• Document care per policy; manage billing and scheduling as required.
• Supervise OT assistants and supervise students when applicable.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and safety initiatives.
