Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients, develop and update care plans, and restore function across care settings.

The role emphasizes evidence-based therapy techniques, collaboration with patients and families, and adherence to regulatory documentation and safety standards. Per diem travel to multiple locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Less than 1 year of clinical experiences as required by the school program.
• PA licensure and BLS required upon hire.
• Willingness to travel to Home Care locations.
• Ability to work at various locations per diem.
• Ability to communicate with patients, family, and co-workers in a friendly, supportive manner.
• Provide safe, compassionate, and competent occupational therapy treatments.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and implements OT plans of care to restore function and help patients reach maximum performance.
• Implements individualized treatment plans using evidence-based techniques such as therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Provides occupational therapy treatment aligned with patient needs and assessment results.
• Performs reassessments when indicated and adjusts OT plans accordingly.
• communicates patient progress to supervisor, physician, and team members.
• Implements an OT plan of care with measurable goals and time frames.
• Provides cost effective care per departmental billing guidelines.
• Completes and submits documentation per policies and regulatory standards.
