Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current licensure in the applicable state.
• CPR certification at Basic Life Support, Level C.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes a cooperative work environment through communication, relationships, and teamwork.
• Provides patient care assessment and treatment with functional, goal-oriented plans and sound clinical judgment.
• Maintains accurate documentation including evaluations, progress notes, discharge notes, and billing codes; ensures legibility and timely completion.
• Meets department productivity standards and adjusts schedules to meet patient and department needs.
• Participates in process improvement to enhance quality and efficiency of services and identify opportunities for change.
• Promotes professional development of staff, conducts in-service training, and shares clinical expertise with colleagues and students.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff; ensures understanding and resolves potential issues.
