Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state where you work (IL).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers within 90 days if required.

Responsibilities

• Interprets physician referrals and evaluates patient abilities across physical, perceptual, cognitive, social, and vocational domains.
• Establishes a care plan and implements treatment; fabricates assistive devices or splints as needed.
• Monitors outcomes and adjusts treatment plans; reports to physicians and teammates.
• Plans for discharge including home programs, family teaching, referrals, and equipment ordering.
• Performs documentation according to department policy and accrediting standards; records progress and billing information.
• Maintains safety and infection control; cleans up after treatment and ensures orderly treatment areas.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and supports coverage needs as required.
