Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to serve in inpatient and rehab services in Illinois. You will evaluate patients, develop and implement plans of care, fabricate assistive devices, and coordinate with physicians and care teams to maximize independence.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 90 days of hire.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Interprets physician referrals and evaluates the patient's functional abilities.
• Establishes a plan of care and implements individual treatment based on evaluations.
• Provides and/or fabricates assistive devices to enhance independence.
• Monitors outcomes and adjusts treatment plans; communicates with physicians.
• Plans discharge including home programs and family teaching.
• Completes documentation per policy and accreditation standards.
• Maintains productivity and adheres to billing and documentation policies.
• Ensures patient safety and infection control; participates in safety initiatives.
• May supervise occupational therapy assistants or students.
