Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver care per physician orders, plan and implement therapy programs, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. A Florida OT license is required; temporary permits may be accepted.

The role emphasizes supervision of support staff and adherence to ACOTE standards, within TMH's clinical settings in Tallahassee, FL.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program conferred prior to 2007 may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and competent occupational therapy as ordered by a physician.
• Plans, organizes and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Supervises the work of Rehabilitation Technician.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Delivers safe and competent occupational therapy as ordered by a physician. Plans, organizes and implements specific treatment programs or individuals patients according to the principles and practices of occupational therapy. Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team. Supervises work of support personnel.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in occupational therapy from an Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)-accredited educational program.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in occupational therapy from an ACOTE-accredited educational program conferred prior to 2007 may be accepted.

Required Experience:

• None

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Current Florida Occupational Therapist license. Temporary permit may be accepted.
