Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (DPT) to deliver safe and competent therapy under physician orders. The role involves planning and implementing individualized treatment programs and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or CAPTE-equivalent, Florida license, and ability to obtain a temporary permit if needed.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in physical therapy from a CAPTE-accredited program conferred before 2019 and bachelor’s in physical therapy from CAPTE program before 2000 may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and competent physical therapy as ordered by a physician.
• Plan, organize and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Supervise work of support personnel.

Supervises work of support personnel.

Supervises: Physical Therapy Assistant

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree (or equivalent) from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)-accredited educational program. Master’s degree (or equivalent) in physical therapy from a CAPTE-accredited educational program conferred prior to 2019 and bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in physical therapy from a CAPTE accredited educational program conferred prior to 2000 may be accepted

Required Experience:

None

Required Certification/License/Registry:

Current Florida Physical Therapist license. Temporary permit may be accepted.
