Job description

Job Title: PRN Occupational Therapist

Westminster Oaks is seeking a PRN (with some weekends) Occupational Therapist. The Occupational Therapist will:

1. Provide patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation to a general rehab caseload.
2. Participate in the interdisciplinary team process.
3. Provide teaching and training to caregiving staff.
4. Involve in clinical program development.
5. Supervise other therapists, assistants, technicians, aides, and students as required.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, identify, and treat physical and cognitive deficits affecting residents' daily activities, following MD's orders.
• Design restorative programs and train residents in adaptive equipment use.
• Develop and document Care Plans for residents’ needs.
• Perform Resident Home Assessments during discharge.
• Conduct screening during admission, quarterly, and annual assessments to determine therapy needs.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy and required state licensure; two years of clinical experience preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to utilize independent clinical judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective time management skills.
• Meet ASHA requirements for the position.

Experience Required: Outpatient and inpatient experience.

Education Required: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.

Licenses & Certifications Required: Occupational Therapist license.
