Job description

Occupational Therapist - PRN, Outpatient Therapy

Join Westminster Communities of Florida as a PRN Occupational Therapist - Outpatient Therapy. The role involves providing patient/resident assessments, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation for a general rehab caseload. You will participate in interdisciplinary team processes, provide training to caregiving staff, and contribute to clinical program development. Supervision of therapists, assistants, technicians, aides, and students may be required.

  1. Evaluate, identify, and treat physical and cognitive deficits affecting residents' daily activities, following MD's orders.
  2. Design restorative programs and train residents in adaptive equipment use.
  3. Develop and document Care Plans for residents' needs accurately and timely.
  4. Perform Resident Home Assessments during discharge processes.
  5. Conduct screening assessments during admission and periodically to determine therapy needs.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and required state licensure; two years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use clinical judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills independently.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Meet ASHA requirements for the position.
