Job summary

Lake Health District is seeking an Occupational Therapist for PRN, non-exempt hourly work in Oregon. The therapist will evaluate patients and design individualized plans, collaborating with physicians and families to achieve meaningful goals and optimal function.

Candidates should hold an OT degree (BS/MS) and be licensed or eligible to practice in Oregon; CPR certification is required. Prior rehab experience is a plus, with a focus on teamwork and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA-accredited program.
• Current or eligible Oregon OT license; CPR certification required.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; background check and drug screen.
• Willingness to complete 500-hour probation period.
• Experience in rehabilitation and team-based care is preferred but not required.

Position Summary

Evaluate patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans using therapeutic, educational, vocational, and recreational activities to help patients achieve their highest level of independence and function. Collaborate closely with physicians, families, and the healthcare team to establish meaningful goals and support each patient's progress.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Eligible for license or current license from the State of Oregon. Current valid Oregon driver's license required. Current CPR certification required.
• Experience: Desired, but not required.
• Job Knowledge: Must have a current knowledge of Occupational Therapy as related to physical disability and rehabilitation procedures, general medicine, surgical and mental health concepts. Understands the principles of team approach and recognizes capabilities and limitations of other team members. Must possess a positive attitude and utilize excellent communication skills. Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.
• Skills: Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening, and sending e-mail messages
• Employment Requirements: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check. Successful completion of 500-hour probationary period. Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen required upon conditional job offer.
