Job summary

Lake Health District seeks an Occupational Therapist for a full-time, 40-hour workweek in Lakeview, Oregon. The role is non-exempt and paid hourly with benefits after a 500-hour introductory period. The therapist will evaluate and direct activities to restore function for patients with physical or mental disabilities, under physician referral, collaborating with families and the health team.

Requirements

Education

Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Eligible for license or current license from the State of Oregon. Current valid Oregon driver's license required. Current CPR certification required.

Experience

Desired, but not required.

Job Knowledge

Must have a current knowledge of Occupational Therapy as related to physical disability and rehabilitation procedures, general medicine, surgical and mental health concepts. Understands the principles of team approach and recognizes capabilities and limitations of other team members. Must possess a positive attitude and utilize excellent communication skills. Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.

Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.

Successful completion of 500-hour probationary period.

Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen required upon conditional job offer.
