Job summary

Upper Valley Medical Center in Ohio is seeking an Occupational Therapist (PRN) to join our acute care and inpatient rehab teams. You will provide comprehensive evaluation and one-to-one or group therapy, document progress, and contribute to patient education.

Required qualifications include OT degree from an accredited program, current Ohio OT license with CEUs, and BLS certification within 30 days. Prior experience is preferred, with a focus on age-specific care and collaborative care delivery.

• PRN: 7:30am — 4pm | 2 weekend Days per Month
• Acute Care & Inpatient Rehab

The Licensed Occupational Therapist provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment to patients. This individual will provide direct patient care and will monitor and report the patient’s progress.

The Occupational Therapist performs occupational therapy treatment on a one-to-one or group basis for patients with orthopedic, neurological, and other physically disabling impairments. Completes required documentation and provides appropriate patient and/or family teaching.

The Occupational Therapist will also participate in staff management, cost management, and professional practice activities. This position is responsible for maintaining certification and/or licensure, achieving all continuing education requirements, demonstrating excellent customer service, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department.

Qualifications

Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited OT program

Licensure: Current Occupational Therapy license in State of Ohio. Maintains CEUs for licensure renewal

Certification: BLS Certification required within 30 days if hire

Experience: May be a recent graduate. Prefer a minimum of one-year experience.
