Job summary

Upper Valley Medical Center in Ohio is seeking an Occupational Therapist (PRN) to provide comprehensive evaluation and direct patient care in acute care and inpatient rehab, 7:30am–4pm with two weekend days per month.

You will perform one-to-one or group therapy, document patient progress, and participate in staff management and cost control while maintaining licensure and CEUs and delivering excellent customer service within the department.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in OT from an accredited program.
• Current Occupational Therapy license in Ohio; CEUs for licensure renewal.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment to patients.
• Delivers OT treatment one-to-one or in groups for orthopedic, neurological, and other impairments.

The Licensed Occupational Therapist provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment to patients. This individual will provide direct patient care and will monitor and report the patient’s progress.

The Occupational Therapist performs occupational therapy treatment on a one-to-one or group basis for patients with orthopedic, neurological, and other physically disabling impairments. Completes required documentation and provides appropriate patient and/or family teaching.

The Occupational Therapist will also participate in staff management, cost management, and professional practice activities. This position is responsible for maintaining certification and/or licensure, achieving all continuing education requirements, demonstrating excellent customer service, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department.

Education

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited OT program

Licensure

Current Occupational Therapy license in State of Ohio. Maintains CEUs for licensure renewal

Certification

BLS Certification required within 30 days if hire

Experience

May be a recent graduate. Prefer a minimum of one-year experience.
