Job summary

Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, OH is seeking an Occupational Therapist (PRN) to support inpatient rehab services.

The OT will perform evaluations and provide direct patient care, documenting progress and teaching patients and families as appropriate. Licensure in Ohio and BLS within 30 days of hire are required; experience preferred though recent graduates may be considered.

Qualifications

• Education: OT degree from an accredited program.
• Licensure: current Ohio OT license with CEUs.
• Certification: BLS required within 30 days of hire.
• Experience: recent graduate okay; prefer 1 year in Rehab.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment to patients.
• Deliver one-to-one or group OT sessions in inpatient rehab.

• *PRN:**7am – 3:30pm | 2 weekend Days per Month*

The Licensed Occupational Therapist provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment to patients. This individual will provide direct patient care and will monitor and report the patient’s progress. The OT performs occupational therapy treatment on a one-to-one or group basis for patients with orthopedic, neurological and other physically disabling impairments. Completes required documentation and provides appropriate patient and/or family teaching.

The OT will also participate in staff management, cost management, and professional practice activities. This position is responsible for maintaining certification and/or licensure, achieving all continuing education requirements, demonstrating excellent customer service and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department.

Qualifications

Education: Degree in occupational therapy from an accredited OT program.

Licensure: Current occupational therapy license in State of Ohio. Maintains CEUs for licensure renewal.

Certification: BLS certification required within 30 days of hire

Experience: May be a recent graduate with a generalist background. Prefer a minimum of one-year experience.
