Job summary

Fruitvale Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT). The role involves evaluating and treating patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal concerns, working within an interdisciplinary team to plan and implement care.

We offer a competitive salary range of $104,000–$124,800 per year, a sign-on bonus, PTO and referral bonuses, and opportunities to contribute to residents’ safe discharge planning and supportive care environments.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or DPT in Occupational Therapy.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.
• Current California license to practice Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans, and administers treatment for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Conducts tests and measures for muscle strength, ROM, coordination, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary clinical team.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments tailored to patient needs.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and proper documentation.
• Performs home assessments to support safe discharge.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
